A region that sits at the centre of our work
South Asia is the geography our network has been built around. So three days in Colombo, in a room full of ICEF-accredited agents from across the region, is one of the more meaningful events in our calendar.
What the meetings were about
The 38-meeting format strips out small talk. Every conversation has a clear purpose, partner fit, university fit, and student fit. For us, the meetings broke down into three rough buckets:
Existing agent partners who wanted to talk through new institutions, new intakes and what is working in their markets.
New agent partners are exploring whether Univive's model fits how they operate.
Sector peers and service providers are comparing notes on the year ahead.
It is one of the few formats where you can have all three of those conversations in the same morning.
What Univive was talking about
Our pitch in the meeting room was the same one we make every day:
Agent Support Services training, market intelligence and operational backing for agents who want to build something sustainable.
University Partnership Services connects trusted agents in the region to a wider portfolio of institutions, with proper governance.
Student Support Services is making sure students who come through agent partners reach the right course, properly prepared.
The point we kept coming back to: we treat agents as long-term partners, not transactional channels.
After the event
In the weeks since, our team has been following up with the agents we met, picking up conversations, scoping new partnerships and bringing fresh insight back to our university partners.
If we met you in Colombo, thank you. If not, you can reach us at partnership@univive.com we'd love to pick up the conversation.
